During Bruce's Medusa period that band performed in concert only sporadically so in 1977 they formed a cover band called The Force to play commercial gigs and try to keep body and soul together. Brian Nelson was added on lead vocals and the band played some club gigs etc. but their eclectic set list and lack of enthusiasm eventually killed the project.
